$100,000 Match Possible For Local Charity
Today on 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' Jill Dugas and Candace Greer explained how a local donor has pledged to match all donations up to $100,000 for Hearts of Hope. Hearts of Hope is non-profit agency whose aim is to reduce the trauma experienced by child and adult victims of sexual abuse and sexual assault. All services are confidential and are completed without expense for the clients. Dugas said,
I got the e-mail from a donor proposing to match all donations up to $100,000 received through December 31st and it took a couple of days to sink in. I had to read the e-mail several times and communicate with the donor to make sure I had read the $100,000 figure correctly.
Tax deductible donations can be made on-line at www.theheartsofhope.org or checks can be mailed to: Giving Tree, P.O. Box 53967, Lafayette, LA 70505.
Greer reminded donors,
Donations are tax-deductible and since many people wait until year's end to make donations, now would be a great time to donate to Hearts of Hope since all donations are being matched by our anonymous donor until $100,000 is reached.
