11 Acadiana Area Teams Ranked In First LSWA Polls Of 2017

11 teams from the Acadiana area football teams are ranked in the respective LSWA polls, the first of the year, which were released on Monday.

In Class 5A, Acadiana is ranked 5th, while St. Thomas More tops the 4A poll, with Carencro, Teurlings Catholic, and Cecilia, at 6, 9. and 10, respectively.

In Class 3A, Eunice is 8th, while Northwest is tied for 9th.

In the Class 2A poll, Notre Dame is ranked second, with Catholic High-New Iberia checking in 6th.

Finally, in the Class A poll, Opelousas Catholic is ranked #4, while Lafayette Christian is #8.
