Tonight's agenda list at the Lafayette City Parish Council will be a long one.  Lafayette Councilman Jay Castille joined "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" to talk about the 1/2 cent sales tax item that is on the ballot.

Castille says the reason he is hoping the measure passes the council is the money is needed to fill a budget hole, and two fund construction of two news fire stations that will need equipment along with firefighters.

Castille says he, as business owner and person, does not want to pay higher taxes of any kind; however, he says he worries the fire rating will suffer if the funds are not raised to build the two new fire stations.
