I-1o Westbound is still closed this afternoon following a collision between two 18-wheelers.

State Police Trooper Stephen Hammons says they are working on getting the vehicles off the roadway, but it'll still be some time before they will be able to re-open the interstate.

Hammons says they were forced to shut down Interstate 10 westbound early this morning after two eighteen wheelers collided and caught fire.

Hammons tells NewsTalk 96-five KPEL that Interstate 10 westbound is shut down starting at Mile Marker 68.  Multiple callers to KPEL's "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" reported that traffic was back up for several miles as drivers were diverted off of interstate 10 at exit 80 in Crowley.
