NATCHITOCHES, La. (AP) — Police say a Natchitoches (NACK'-ih-tish) Central High School student faces a terrorizing charge in connection with messages on social media sites.

The Town Talk reports that the messages were posted Wednesday night and shared with other students.

Natchitoches Police put the school on lockdown for a time Thursday after a student notified the school's resource officer about an alleged threat.

Police said 18-year-old De'Kerry Booker of Natchitoches was arrested at his residence about 30 minutes after the lockdown began.

Booker was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center, awaiting bond. Online booking records were not available for him Friday and there was no information available on whether he has an attorney.
