19-Year-Old Dead After Opelousas Shooting

Opelousas Police are investigating a shooting that happened overnight.

Officers were sent out at 1:19 Wednesday morning after receiving reports of shots fired in the area of Truman Street.

When police arrived, they found 19-year-old Donnie Sam had been shot three times. He was pronounced dead by the St. Landry Parish coroner, police said.
