2 Girls Booked In Attack, Robbery In Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Baton Rouge police say two 17-year-old girls have been arrested after they were accused of beating a juvenile girl in the head with sticks and robbing her.

The Advocate reports the girls were booked with one count each of armed robbery.

Police say the robbery occurred on Oct. 25.

According to the arrest affidavits, the teens had attacked the victim from behind, struck her with the sticks and caused lacerations on the victim's lips.

Police say the girls robbed the victim of her purse and cellular phone.
