NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Two men have been indicted on five counts each related to 2011 bank robberies in New Orleans and Metairie.

U.S. Attorney Jim Letten says 36-year-old Walter Joseph Porter III and 33-year-old Brian Keith Hayes, both of New Orleans, were each indicted this week on charges of conspiracy to commit bank robbery, bank robbery and violations of the Federal Gun Control Act.

Letten says a Capitol One Bank branch was held up in New Orleans on July 6, 2011, and a Metairie branch on Aug. 26, 2011.

The indictment accuses Porter and Hayes of brandishing firearms during the robberies.
