BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Two Greenwell Springs residents have pleaded guilty to manslaughter and other charges in the August 2011 robbery and killing of a 30-year-old man at a Baton Rouge car wash.

The Advocate reports 35-year-old Jeanpaul Rene Creppel was sentenced to 40 years in prison, and 26-year-old Danielle Charie Palermo was sentenced to five years in prison in the robbery and slaying of Jonathan Ellis, also of Greenwell Springs.

Only Tuesday, state District Judge Lou Daniel sentenced Creppel and Palermo under the terms of agreements between the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney's Office and attorneys for both defendants.

Creppel pleaded guilty to manslaughter and armed robbery, and Palermo pleaded guilty to manslaughter and simple robbery.
