LAFAYETTE, La. (AP) — Three firms are getting $14 million of the $21 million.

The Advertiser reports the core team includes:

— Stantec Consulting Services Inc., planning, engineering and architecture specialists with an office in Baton Rouge, $6.2 million

— AECOM USA Inc., infrastructure designers and builders, $5.6 million

— GEC Inc., consulting and engineering specialists whose corporate headquarters is in Baton Rouge, $2.27 million.

Federal and state agencies in October relaunched the project, a 5.5-mile, six-lane section of freeway to run from just south of Lafayette Regional Airport to Interstate 10.
