22 Civilians Reported Killed In East Ukraine
KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — Local authorities in eastern Ukraine say at least 22 civilians have been killed in one day by shelling.
Government officials in Luhansk say five people were killed when a home for the elderly was struck by artillery fire.
Russian TV is showing images of bodies in wheelchairs covered with blankets. Lukansk is controlled by pro-Russia separatists.
The mayor in the city of Horlivka says 17 people have died as a result of shelling. Horlivka is besieged by government troops.
