29 Months In Prison For Lafayette Woman

In Federal Court yesterday 61 year old Bunnie Morris of Lafayette was sentenced to 29 months in prison, five years supervised probation and ordered to pay $337,049 in restitution for defrauding her employer.

Morris was employed as a financial accountant/bookkeeper for Waste Auditors Inc. from 2001 to 2009. During that time Morris forged signatures of corporate officials on numerous payroll, bonus and expense account checks processed through two banks totaling over $500,000.
