NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Police in New Orleans have made a second arrest in the shooting death last week of a 13-month-old child.

Police said late Thursday they had booked 19-year-old Darnell Ramee with first-degree murder in the death of Londyn Samuels. The baby was killed as she was being held by a baby-sitter — who was seriously wounded — when someone opened fire a week ago in a New Orleans neighborhood. Police said Ramee is believed to be the gunman.

A police news release says Ramee was tracked down and arrested at a New Orleans residence by city police and U.S. Marshals.

On Wednesday, police booked 24-year-old Keelen Armstrong in the case. Armstrong also was booked with first-degree murder. Both men also were booked with attempted first-degree murder. Court dates were pending.
