TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Three sisters in Tucson, Ariz., are telling police that their mother and stepfather kept them imprisoned for up to two years.

The parents are charged with kidnapping and child abuse.

Police say the 12-, 13- and 17-year-old girls were malnourished and dirty, and they told officers they hadn't taken a bath in up to six months.

The girls were discovered after the youngest sisters ran to a neighbor's home after they say the stepfather kicked in the door and threatened them with a knife.
