At 2:00am Monday morning a Eunice police officer witnessed a window on a nearby car being shot out by someone driving by his unit. According to our news partners at KATC the officer pulled over the vehicle and arrested two adults and two teens. 20 year old Travis Smith and 18 Nichole Fusilier, both of Eunice were booked into the Acadia Parish jail. The 14 year old was released to his parents and a 15 year old was booked into a juvenile facility in St. James Parish.

Smith was charged with 45 counts of simple criminal damage to property, 45 counts of criminal mischief and 90 counts of contributing to the delinquency of minors. Fusiler was booked on the same charges as Smith.

Eunice Police Chief Ronald Dies said the arresting officer was on patrol looking for the vandals after receiving several calls about car windows being shot out. 44 vehicles were damaged and a few houses suffered broken windows.
