BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries says enforcement agents boarded three boats in less than three hours and cited four men for alleged fishing violations.

Spokesman Adam Einck says that on the shrimper Manana, agents found captain John C. Aleman of Laguna Vista, Texas, with six red snapper, all under the minimum 16 inches. He says Aleman was cited with possessing undersized red snapper during a closed season.

He says 48-year-old Raymond Herrera of Grand Bay, Ala., was cited for not having the required federal permit on the shrimper Arc Angel.

He says agents cited two men on an offshore supply vessel with possessing red snapper during a closed season.

The boats all were boarded between 4:30 p.m. and 6:42 p.m. on May 15.
