5 Arrested In Shooting Of Alexandria Priest

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — Police say two Alexandria priests were injured during a home invasion.

The Rev. Craig Scott, pastor of St. Rita Catholic Church, was shot and the Rev. Marek Norjek was hit in the head Wednesday night.

The Town Talk reports both priests were taken to Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, where they were treated and released.

Police say four Alexandria men, 18-year-old Paul Antonio Clark, 21-year-old Larry Culbert, 18-year-old Ashunti Pearrie and a 17-year-old were booked Thursday on charges of attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery.

Police say another 17-year-old was booked with accessory after the fact and armed robbery.
