Five teens in the Jefferson Parish city of Harvey are behind bars--charged with robbing and murdering a man. Jefferson Parish Sheriff's spokesman Col. John Fortunato says 39-year-old Jose Guevara was robbed at gunpoint in the carport of a home. He says Guevara and his friends did just what robbery victims SHOULD do, but still was shot. Fortunato says the five boys--ages 14 to 17--were riding around in a Ford Expedition, that was later found to be stolen. Fortunato says they were apprehended shortly after the Sunday robbery and shooting. (Guevera was shot in the face and died at the scene.) They've all been apprehended and now face multiple charges, including 1st-degree murder. Fortunato says it's possible the parish prosecutor will seek to try them as adults. He says what makes the crime so heinous is they chose to begin shooting AFTER they got the men's money.
