5 Year Old Girl In State Custody

A 5-year-old Logansport girl is in state custody, her mother is under arrest and her father is wanted after a tourist found the child on a Sabine River bridge. DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Sgt. Chato Atkins says deputies took the girl home but found marijuana, knives and cigarettes within children's reach. The mother, Elizabeth Sue Thomas, told investigators she learned her daughter was missing when her 4-year-old son walked in and said his sister was gone.
