The person that has this winning Powerball lottery ticket must not know how close they are to losing $50,000. But losing a $50,000 payout could go from nightmare to reality this Monday if the lottery prize is not claimed.

According to the Louisiana Lottery, the winning ticket was purchased for the June 6th drawing earlier this year. The ticket matched four of the five white ball numbers and the Powerball.

The ticket was purchased in Sulphur Louisiana at Misse's Grocery. The holder of the ticket has until 5 PM Monday (Dec 3rd) to contact the Louisiana Lottery and claim their prize. Should no winner step forward the money would then be transferred into the Lottery's unclaimed prize fund.

By the way, there are several big money prizes in both the Mega Millions and Powerball games that have not been claimed. Among those prizes are tickets sold in Abbeville, Lake Charles, and Sulphur.
