Out With The Old Bulbs; In With Energy Efficient Bulbs
The 100-watt incandescent light bulb is going away for good. New federal standards call for the discontinuation of the bulb this year.
The American Lighting Association spokesperson Larry Lauck says those bulbs are being replaced halogen incandescents or LEDs. The 75 watt bulb will be gone next year and the 60 watt goes in 2014.
Larry Lauck says those bulbs are being replaced by energy efficient bulbs. He says to find them just look for the energy star label on the package.
