For the 61st consecutive year the Kiwanis Club of Lafayette will present their high school football jamboree to benefit their youth activities.  Kiwanis President David Fredrichs visited 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' to invite the community to this annual fundraiser.

This year's event will feature 12 local high school football teams in six different games to be played Thursday and Friday nights at UL's Cajun Field.  Games begin at 6:00pm with gates opening both nights at 5:00pm.  Fredrichs said the Jamboree is basically a pre-season game for all the teams to get acclimated to playing under the lights with the full heat of early season play in South Louisiana.

Tickets will be available at the gate at a cost of only $10.  Fredrichs urged everyone,

"To bring the whole family out for a great evening or two of high school football.  Each night will be exciting and all the proceeds help the Lafayette Kiwanis Club fund youth activities year-round".
