The 7th annual International Petanque Tournament will take place on Saturday, March 14th in Girard Park.

The French lawn bowling game is played on four hard pack courts at Girard Park, and all skill levels of participants are welcome.

Anyone can come to play during the tournament as basic instructions and equipment are provided.

Two player teams will face opposing teams, and the four top teams will be the ones to advance to the quarter final round will be held that afternoon.

The tournament will feature Louisiana Poboys' sandwiches for sale, and trophies will be given to the winners.

There will be a chance for education as a former national French Petanque champion, Bernard Champey, will give classes and exhibitions.
