8 Students Arrested In 2 Separate Fights At Opelousas High

OPELOUSAS, La. (AP) — Police say eight students and one adult have been arrested in two different fights outside and inside Opelousas High School.

Officer Corey Leger tells The Daily World three students and one adult were in one fight Monday morning, then five students were arrested in another fight in the afternoon. Leger says all eight students and the adult are females.

H says all nine were booked with disturbing the peace by fighting.

Leger said both fights stemmed from different arguments on social media.
