A Crowley Man Has Been Booked On 2nd Degree Murder Charges
Crowley Police have arrested 28-year-old Clyde Milstead III after a Sunday morning shooting that took the life of 21-year-old Jerrell Andrus.
Police were called out to the 400 block of West 9th Street Sunday morning around 9 o'clock to find a person had been shot in the head during a disturbance. The victim, Jerrell Andrus, was taken to a Lafayette hospital, but he died there Sunday afternoon.
Crowley Police K.P. Gibson says that their investigation at this point reveals that an argument occurred between Milstead and Andrus inside the home. Police then says Milstead got a gun and shot the Andrus.
Milstead faces a charge of 2nd degree murder, and he has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail.
