Governor Bobby Jindal says that he wants to borrow $325 million to complete the project. The money would pay for the fix of nearly 1000 miles of road in Louisiana.

Jindal says that the state would use the State Highway Improvement fund to help repay the money. State transportation spokesperson Jodi Conachen says the fund generate around $50 to $60 million a year.

The idea will be considered in the next legislative session.
