The Lafayette Police Department has arrested one man, and they are searching for another after shots were fired at the intersection of South Orange and 8th Streets Sunday night.

Officers say a male victim told them that he was inside of his car when two suspects fired several shots in the direction of his vehicle.  He was not shot.

During the investigation, officers say they developed two suspects in the case.  The first suspect, 21-year-old Joshua Damond was charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Police say they also found a gun on Damond which they believe was used in the shooting.

The second suspect, 28-year-old Lensley Johnnie is being sought by police on a warrant for Principle to Attempted 2nd Degree Murder.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the location of Lensley Johnnie is urged to contact Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
