A case that has been in the works since 2007 has finally been closed. A preliminary settlement was reached by the former patients of Dr. Peter LaFuria and his insurance companies after he allegedly took pictures of over 600 women’s private parts.

In December of 2007, the patients reached a class-action settlement and got $3.75 million of LaFuria’s assets, the money was split between the 632 victims.

The total amounts of indictments LaFuria had against him August of 2007 was 269 felony counts.

He was freed on $1.29 million bond and was set to go to trial in June 2008, but the trial has been repeatedly delayed.
