Manhunt Underway For Escaped Inmate Following Evangeline Bank Robbery

A manhunt is underway looking for Brian Keith Solieau, a 42- year old man who recently escaped from the Pine Prairie Detention Center. Solieau is decribed as a white male, 6'1", 190 lbs, hazel eyes and brown hair. He is suspected to be driving a Chevy or GMC pickup. He was last seen driving west on highway 10. Police are warning people who may have seen him that he is armed and extremely dangerous. Call 911 if you spot him.

Seven schools are on lockdown as a result of the robbery. School Board officials say Ville Platte High, Ville Platte Elementary, James Stephens Montessori, Bayou Chicot Elementary, Pine Prairie High, Vidrine Elementary, and Evangeline Central are all on lockdown.
