The Academy of Interactive Entertainment has chosen Lafayette as it's home in the southern part of the US. The academy specializes in game design and 3-D design work. The school plans to bring more than 125 jobs in digital media and the gaming industry to Louisiana within five years. Many different areas in the south were examined and Lafayette was chosen because of it's aggressive marketing to bring studios, developers and production facilities to the state.
