Police Chase Ends With Arrest Of Four-Time DWI Offender

Gerald Kowal of Flagstaff Arizona was reported by a concerned driver on the motorway in Calcasieu Parish. After a six mile pursuit, troopers finally stopped Kowal. He refused to take any form of test to see how intoxicated he was. After the State Troopers obtained a "no refusal" warrant, Kowal was transferred to a local hospital and a blood test was drawn. Results are sill pending. He was charged with DWI, flight, following too close, improper lane usage, no license and no seat belt.
