A Reminder To Drive Safe This Christmas

Last year, 67 people died in car accidents during the month of December. Over half of them were involved with an accident that dealt with alcohol.

The Louisiana State Troopers want to remind everyone that if they plan on consuming alcohol this holiday season, to find a designated driver or find other travel arrangements.

Troopers will be working hard to track down and stop dangerous drivers. In addition to looking for impaired drivers, they will also be focusing on motorists not wearing seat belts or not properly securing children, dangerous driving behaviors such as speeding and following too close, and distracted driving.
