A Single Car Crash Leaves One Man Dead

A single vehicle crash has caused the death of a DeRidder man. Martin Snyder was driving and was restrained when the truck hit a concrete culvert. James Jackson, a passenger in the vehicle, was not restrained and was ejected from the truck. Alcohol is considered to be a factor and after Snyder was treated for minor injuries then booked for vehicular homicide, DWI second offense, open container, and careless operation. The crash remains under investigation.
