St. Mary Parish deputies had been searching for 18-year-old Christopher Singleton ever since the beginning of March when police allege he was the person who fired several gunshots into a car on Friendship Alley in Amelia.

Detectives working the case says Singleton is the suspect who fired off his weapon at the car.  He was wanted on a warrant for aggravated assault with a firearm and aggravated criminal damage to property.

Detectives were able to find Singleton at his home on Friendship Alley yesterday afternoon.  He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Jail and booked on the above charges.

Deputies did not give any indication as to why Singleton is alleged to have fired the shots.
