A Vernon Parish Fire Takes The Life Of One Man

Just after midnight on Satuday morning, the fire departments in Vernon and Pitkin responded to a fire on Delton Bailey road.  When police and firefighters arrived, the home was completely engulfed in flames. Delton Bailey was still in the home and was killed by his burns, but his wife did manage to escape the inferno. The home did have working smoke alarms.
