A Whole Lotta Festivals Goin’ On!
One of the great things about living in Acadiana is the festivals, and there are a whole lot of them going on this weekend.
Downtown Lafayette will be rocking through Sunday night with Acadiana's largest music festival, Festival International. Five stages offer something for everyone free of charge. Then there's the food area with tasty treats from fries to ice cream to Cajun concoctions to make sure you are properly fueled up for a day of fun. Make sure to visit the Festival Boutique. Purchases made i help to fund future Festival endeavors. And buying a Festival International pin keeps this Acadiana favorite thriving and free!
In Arnaudville, they are celebrating the 28th Annual Etouffee Festival on the grouds of St. John Francis Regis Church at 370 Main Street in Arnaudville. There's no admission and they have some great entertainment lined up for both Saturday and Sunday like Chubby Carrier, Wayne Toups, Geno Delafose and more, along with carnival rides. And you better believe there will be plenty of etouffee!
For the 11th year in a row, the Carriere family in Church Point has put together Cajun Woodstock to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. They've got a great lineup of local favorites for both Saturday and Sunday: Richard LeBoeuf, Geno Delafosse, Jamie Bergeron. For a look at who's playing when, click here.
