Gas prices have been staying around the same for the holidays so far. American Automobile Association spokesperson Mike Write says pump prices have hovered around $3, largely due to relatively low crude oil prices for the past several weeks. But Write says that's no longer the case. He says gas is bumping up against $100 a barrel, meaning he expects prices to start going up again.

Today's statewide average price of regular gas is $3.08; a penny higher than Monday, but nearly 20-cents higher than last year. Write says supply and demand may mean small price jumps, but nothing like what we saw last summer, when gas was close to $4.
