Abbeville Man Arrested In Drug Bust

Several complaints have led police to a drug arrest.

Vermilion Parish authorities say they were told that people were hanging around 1305 Martin Luther King selling illegal drugs. Agents say they found suspected marijuana and cocaine not only in the home, but also on adjacent properties, hidden in plastic cups with lids.

Police say in addition to the drugs, they also seized ammunition for a large caliber handgun as well as a rifle with magazines fully loaded. But they still haven't found the weapons at this time.

Anfernee Joiner of Abbeville has been charged with possession and intent to distribute the drugs. His bond has not been set.
