Abbeville Man Arrested On Multiple Theft Charges

46 year old Donald Duhon of Abbeville was recently arrested after attempting to steal an electronic tablet by hiding it in his pants. Duhon was confronted by an employee of the store and he handed over the tablet and left. According to our news partner KATC, later that day Duhon attempted to use a stolen credit card to make a purchase at a gas station. Duhon was identified on surveillance footage as the person wanted in the attempted electronic tablet theft. Yesterday Duhon was observed walking down a city street and attempted to run from police. He was caught and police discovered he was carrying a checkbook and ID card reported stolen in Kaplan. Duhon was booked on two counts of stolen property as well as resisting an officer.
