Abbeville Man Charged In Death Of Girlfriend’s Baby

An arrest warrant was issued Tuesday for 25-year-old Shane Jude Vincent in the death of his girlfriend's 3-month-old daughter.

Vincent was also charged in the case with tampering with evidence in the death of Jayla Broussard.  The baby's mother, 24-year-old Mindy Jane Broussard was also indicted for tampering with evidence.

Investigators say that Vincent had been living with the mother and child for several months before the child died.

The indictments were handed up by a Vermilion Parish grand jury.
