Abbeville's Giant Omelette Festival is this weekend in Downtown Abbeville!

Since the festival is in its 33rd year, there will be 5,033 eggs used to cook the giant omelette on Sunday, November 5th.

What does it take to make a giant omelette? Well, it starts with a giant fire, a giant skillet, and a giant grocery list:

50 lbs. Onions
75 Bell Peppers
4 Gallons Onion Tops
2 Gallons Parsley
1 1/2Gallons Cooking Oil
6 1/2Gallons Milk
52 lbs. Butter
3 Boxes Salt
2 Boxes Black Pepper
15 lbs of Louisiana Crawfish Tails
TABASCO® Pepper Sauce (to taste)

The omelette will be prepared and served between 1:30 PM and 4:30 PM on Sunday.
