Acadia Parish Fire Claims One Life [UPATED]

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon says deputies responded to a call of a grass fire behind a home on the Church Point Highway and discovered a homeowner burning trash.

Investigation determined that the wind shifted trapping 61 year old Eva Matilda Goodley Guillory leading to her death. Guillory was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is being ruled accidental.
