Acadia Parish Grand Jury Indicts Kerry Bertrand In Murder Of Skylar Credeur

An Acadia Parish man accused of killing his stepdaughter has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of second-degree murder.

KATC-TV 3 reports the indictment against Kerry Bertrand was handed down today.

Bertrand allegedly killed Skylar Credeur on Aug. 21.

Credeur had filed a protective order against Bertrand a week before police said she was drowned inside her Acadia Parish home. Bertrand was found hiding in the attic of the home.
