Acadia Parish Officials Investigating A Shooting

Investigators with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office are working to determine the motive of a shooting that happened just at midnight on Germaine Road which is just northeast of Rayne.

A woman called the Sheriff's Office to report that a man had been shot in the home.

Deputies discovered a 27-year-old man with several gunshot wounds lying on the floor.

The Sheriff's Office says the man was airlifted to a hospital where he is still in critical condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
