Acadia Parish Police Investigating Body Found On Highway

(KPEL) -- Police in Acadia Parish are trying to identify the man whose body was found on a highway, wrapped in a tarp.

Sheriff Wayne Melancon says a woman called to report about the body at about 4:50 a.m. Saturday on White Oak Highway.

Police say the body was that of a Hispanic male, about 25 to 30 years of age. The body was sent to the Calcasieu Parish Coroner's Office for autopsy.
