The 2016 high school football season unofficially kicks off in the Acadiana area on Thursday night, with action at a few different sites.

At Cajun Field, it's night one of the 65th Lafayette Kiwanis Jamboree, which will feature three games on Thursday night, before three more on Friday night.

The complete Lafayette Kiwanis Jamboree schedule is below:

Thursday, Aug. 25

6 PM---Northside vs. St. Martinville
7:15 PM---Cecilia vs. Carencro
8:30 PM---Notre Dame vs. Lafayette High

Friday, Aug. 26

6 PM---Breaux Bridge vs. Parkview Baptist
7:15 PM---St. Thomas More vs. Comeaux
8:30 PM---Teurlings Catholic vs. Acadiana

Teurlings Catholic will play host to the Iron Man Football Jamboree on Thursday evening, with three games on the schedule.

The Iron Man Football Jamboree schedule is below:

Thursday, Aug. 25

6 PM---Lafayette Christian Academy vs. Ascension Episcopal
7:15 PM---Central Catholic-Morgan City vs. Vermilion Catholic
8:30 PM---Catholic-New Iberia vs. Hanson

Rayne High School will host a field of four teams on Thursday night, in the Acadia Parish Jamboree, with two games scheduled there.

The Acadia Parish Jamboree schedule is below:

6:30 PM---Crowley vs. Church Point
8 PM---Rayne vs. Iota

Finally on Thursday night, the Opelousas Kiwanis Club presents the John S. Bradley Memorial High School Football Jamboree at Donald Gardner Stadium in Opelousas.

Teams include Lagrange High, Northwest High, Opelousas Catholic and Westminster Christian, with the first game scheduled for 6:30 pm.
