The Acadiana Center for The Arts is kicking off another month of great cultural events.   Dr. Gerd Wuestemann visited "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" today and described the line-up of events including children's art shows, roots music from New Orleans as the Crossroads series wraps up and jazz from New York.

Wuestemann said "Innov8 wrapped up this weekend not just at ACA but all over town.  And it's been a fantastic success with 1200 people attending the Saturday event at UL".

This Wednesday evening the ACA will host Ruthie Foster and Paul Thorn with a show titled "Soul Salvation.  Tickets are available at www.acadianacenterforthearts.org.  Next week "Zigaboo" Modeliste, the original drummer for the Meters will be appearing May 9th and 10th in the last performance of this season's "Crossroads Series" in the James Devin Moncus theater at ACA.

Art Walk on Saturday May 12th will be feature work by students from across the parish and musical performances at eight different stages.
