Acadiana’s 232-Help Announces New Board, Officers and Executive Director

There is now a new board of directors and executive committee for 232-Help, the education and referral center that helps local citizens get connected to social services.

The board elected officers to serve as its executive committee. James Roy was elected president, Robert Lowe is immediate past president, Dr. Paul Azar is vice president - medical liaison, Dr. John Hendry is vice president - dental liaison, Kathy Ashworth is vice president for community affairs and secretary, and William Lastrapes is vice president for development and treasurer. Randy Haynie was appointed by the President as deputy vice president – legislative affairs, The new board also announced that Rae Logan will serve as executive director of the organization.

232-HELP/211 offers a variety of programs including the Medical Appliance Loan Program, Project Rx, Medical Transportation Assistance, Christmas Program and Enhanced Information & Referral/211 Services.
