32-year-old Dustin Taylor of Broussard, who crashed early Sunday morning, has died from his injuries today.

That's according to our news partners at KATC, who say Taylor crashed around 2:00 a.m. while he was driving a truck east on Ambassador Caffery at a high rate of speed, going off the roadway for unknown reasons. Police say the truck eventually flipped, and Taylor, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from it.

Authorities are still trying to figure out if alcohol was involved as toxicology results are pending. Fortunately, no other vehicles were involved.
