Accused Armed Robber Arrested In Lafayette Attack
40-year-old David Senegal of Lafayette has been arrested after he allegedly attacked a 38-year-old Scott man with a broken bottle, then stole money from him.
Cpl. Paul Mouton with Lafayette Police says Senegal allegedly stole cash out of the victim's pockets after he hit the victim in the face with the broken bottle as the victim was walking. Mouton says Senegal then ran away, but was found was responding officers.
Mouton says the victim suffered a laceration to the chin.
Senegal was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for Armed Robbery. Police continue to investigate.
